Campsites in France
Choosing your perfect location
Browse the campsites on this website and read our guide below to choosing your perfect location.
We have a wide range of mobile homes for sale in the south of France and more importantly, we work with a wide selection of campsites and residential parks with mobile homes for sale in France. We operate in different ways according to individual site rules but this offers our customers a greater choice to accommodate all tastes and requirements.
Our goal is to satisfy your demand. We endeavour to secure what you want where you want it. Certain sites have limited access for very large homes and some specify that the mobile home must be from a particular manufacturer so occasionally there is a degree of compromise. Whatever the situation, we are there to guide you through the process and help you make the right choice.
The decision of where to buy is often the most difficult. If you’ve already holidayed in France, you’ll have a good idea of what you like and where you’ll be happy. Here are some factors to take into consideration when choosing the region.
Climate
The Languedoc Roussillon region is wonderful for its sunny Mediterranean climate and offers a long season with relatively good weather, blue skies and warm temperatures.
Proximity to the coast
An important factor since the beach has always proved a firm favourite with families.
Getting there
Even if you’re used to driving down with your family and luggage, it’s good to know the local situation regarding trains and low-cost airways. The joy of owning your own home is that you can use it whenever you want, for as long as you want, whether for weeks at a time or for a weekend break. Your home lends itself to last-minute planning to benefit from promotional airfares and special offers.
Surrounding region and things to do
Whether you’re into kite-surfing, rock climbing, wine tasting or just want to go for a swim or stroll in the countryside! The local Office du Tourisme is an excellent starting place to find out what’s going on in the area and places of interest to visit!
Which holiday park?
Once you’ve selected the region, you can start looking at the parks available in that area. Campsites come in all shapes and sizes and there are lots of things to think about. The large high-quality sites with impressive swimming pool complexes, water slides, bars and restaurants tend to have all their facilities open all season (Easter to September). Entertainment programmes, activities and excursions run from the day the site opens. Quiet sites, whilst open for the same period with a swimming pool tend to be very laid back and are only really fully functional in July and August when the French take their summer holidays.
The larger sites often work with tour operators and have an international clientele. The small sites tend to have a largely French client base. Residential parks provide all-year-round access and are ideally suited for retired couples wanting to live or spend long periods in France. On the whole, they are less well-equipped for children. If you are intending to rent out your mobile home when not using it yourself, certain sites and locations are much better placed than others to enable you to earn good rental income.
