My wife and I had enjoyed family holidays, staying in tents and mobile homes all over France for around 25 years. Every year we had said to ourselves how great it would be to buy our very own mobile home when we retired and the kids had grown up.
All of a sudden the chance arose to make that dream come true and I started to look at how we would go about the process of buying a mobile home in France. Unfortunately, the information available to me on the web was very limited and nothing from any of the big ‘recognised’ names in the travel industry that might have given me the confidence to make the first step. This was after all what was to be a reasonably significant investment in our future.
Eventually I found a link to a company called Eurobase and I sent off for a brochure. Once it had arrived I took the big step of booking a ‘viewing trip’ with them to our favourite area of France, the Roussillon area. There we met Simon Froggatt who set about showing us a number of sites that he thought met our expectations. For my wife and I this meant a small quite site with easy walking access to a beach.
Having found Camping Le Littoral, Simon then advised us on the sort of mobile home and decking that would go best and then made all of the arrangements for our home to be delivered, sited, tested and made ready for us.
Eight months later we found ourselves sitting on our own decking in a fabulous campsite enjoying everything about France that we had hoped for. You can do it too!
